Our Open Days
We offer individual open days for anyone whose circumstances are suitable to consider free range egg production. As a rule of thumb, in the current economic climate, any potential new entrants will probably have to have equity and capital comprising unencumbered land and additional cash of approximately £100,000, with bank funding providing the balance for the project. Our Financial Analyst, Mick Thomas, is available to discuss the costs and financing of a free range unit with anyone considering it so please contact him on 01283 736626 for an initial assessment of your own situation, which is completely free of charge
At the Open Day, you will amass sufficient knowledge to ask the right questions to enable you to accurately assess the potential of any working unit and will also understand the reasons why a unit may not be performing to its target, and how to make an accurate judgement of possible performance and value.
The Open Days are normally held at our Head Office in Derby and the day consists of:
- Introduction and Bowler Video
- Visit to existing working Free Range farm
(no wellies needed, just a waterproof in case of bad weather!)
- Explanation of Free Range Industry
- Buffet lunch with members of the Bowler team
- Explanation of John Bowler Computer System and Support Network
- Explanation of How We Work
- Site assessment & Planning

- Supply of Pullets & Feed
- Field Consultancy and Support

At the end of the day we welcome you to stay on to talk to any of the Bowler staff with any further questions that you may have. As many questions as you like can be asked throughout the course of the open day, please remember this is YOUR day to get as much information as you can about Free Range Egg Production and the Bowler operation.
