One
month before your first flock is due to be delivered our field
support begins. One of our experienced consultants will visit
you to complete your regulatory registration forms and answer
any questions you may have. The week before your first flock is
due to be delivered we visit you again. Our consultants on this
visit check that your Unit is ready for delivery of your flock,
explain the daily operation of the Unit and take you through our
operating manual.
Every
Producer is supplied with a comprehensive manual documenting our
25 years’ experience in managing Free Range flocks. It contains
virtually all the management information needed to run a successful
Free Range Egg business to our system, plus contact numbers and
advice.
We then schedule a visit every week until you are ready to look
after the flock yourselves. After this we schedule visits on demand.
However if there are any issues in your Unit we will visit as
required. After each visit a written report is usually produced
recording all the relevant advice given. In addition to site visits
and computer support (discussed below) all our team, including
Directors, are available by phone for advice and support on all
aspects of managing the flock and business 24 hours a day/7 days
a week.
The
monitoring of production and, above all, profitability against
target, are a vital part of effective management. We have developed
the leading computer system in the industry for this purpose for
which we received an industry award for computer innovation. Every
one of our Producers is linked to our computer system by a secure
website which has been designed to be used even by total computer
novices. To enable Producers to maximise their profit they each
have projected target figures for production, cashflow and profitability.
